MonkeyMedia Software provides off-premise solutions to multi-unit restaurant operators to manage customers, orders, production, accounting, and distribution. The company has been in operation since 1998 and now serves some of the largest restaurant chains in North America. We are looking to hire two additional Product Owners to join our Product Management team.
What we are looking for:
Highly driven and motivated individual with 3 - 5 years experience in an agile software development environment.
Creative thinker and problem solver with highly developed attention to detail.
Customer-centric focus with an appreciation for the business.
Ability to manage the ever-changing demands and expectations of clients within the constraints of an out-of-the-box solution and product roadmap.
Self-starter, motivator, with the ability to work in a distributed team environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Solid understanding of SaaS-based software.
What you will be doing:
Participate in the creation and maintenance of the product backlog.
Sort the product backlog items according to priority.
Help the Scrum Master organize sprint review meetings.
Participate in sprint planning meetings to clarify business needs.
Work closely with the development team to provide a clear understanding of business requirements throughout the development cycle.
Get detail level of requirement from stakeholders or customers.
Build and maintain a relationship with the stakeholders.
Maintain key ROI metrics related to initiatives and stories to aid the prioritization of the backlog.
Regularly engage with clients dispersed across the United States and Canada using email, telephone, conferencing, screen sharing and occasional on-site visits.
Track and report on the progress of initiatives and stories within the context of the product roadmap to internal and external stakeholders, identifying risks and mitigation strategies, escalating roadblocks as necessary.
Participate in client review calls about any product enhancements
Assist the client services and implementation teams in reporting
Actively participate in the incremental improvement of product development processes and systems.
University degree is preferred.
CSPO certification is an asset but not required.
Experience with Aha! and Jira is an asset but not required.
The working environment is a combination of distributed and in-office, the successful candidate will need to reside the Metro Vancouver / lower mainland area of BC to attend weekly in-office meetings.
